Cookie Notice

Last updated 8 September 2026

This website sets no cookies. Not one. There is no banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to.

01Why there is no banner

UK law asks for your consent before a website stores anything on your device that is not strictly necessary. This site stores nothing at all, so there is nothing to ask about.

To be specific, we use:

  • No cookies, of any kind, first party or third party.
  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no visitor counter, no heatmaps, no session recording.
  • No advertising pixels. No Meta pixel, no remarketing tags.
  • No local storage or other data kept in your browser.

We know nothing about you until you choose to write to us. That is how we would want it if we were the ones visiting.

02What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise your device on the next page or the next visit. Some are genuinely useful, for keeping you signed in or holding a basket. Most of the rest exist to follow you between sites and build a picture of you for advertising.

This site has nothing to sign in to and nothing to put in a basket, so it needs neither.

03Connections we do make

No cookies, but two parts of the page are fetched from other companies, and any request over the internet reveals your IP address to whoever answers it. In the interest of being straight with you:

  • Google Fonts. The typefaces are served by Google, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads. Google does not set a cookie from this.
  • Instagram. The gallery shows our latest Instagram posts, and your browser loads those images and videos straight from Instagram's servers. Instagram therefore sees your IP address when the gallery loads, whether or not you have an account with them.

Our own server also keeps standard logs, including IP addresses, so the site can be kept secure and the enquiry form cannot be flooded with spam. That is explained in the Privacy Notice.

04When you leave this site

The moment you click through to another company, their rules take over.

  • SevenRooms, where our online bookings are taken, sets its own cookies and shows its own notice.
  • Instagram does the same if you open our profile.

We have no control over those and no visibility of them.

05Check for yourself

You do not have to take our word for it. In Chrome or Edge, press F12, open the Application tab and look under Cookies. In Safari, turn on the Develop menu and open the Web Inspector, then Storage. In Firefox, press F12 and open Storage. You will find this site listed with nothing under it.

You can also block or delete cookies for every site you visit from your browser settings, and nothing on this site will break if you do.

06If this ever changes

If we later add something that needs a cookie, a booking widget on the page or a measurement tool, we will update this notice and ask for your consent first, properly, before anything is stored. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
